Is your sanding dust-free?
Yes. We use professional dust-extraction sanding systems that capture most of the dust at source. While no sanding process is 100% dust-free, our equipment keeps dust to an absolute minimum and your home clean and safe.​
How long does floor sanding take?
Most standard rooms (20-30m²) take 1–2 days to sand and finish. Larger areas, stairs, repairs, staining, or intricate parquet patterns may take longer.We’ll always give you a clear time estimate before starting.​

Do I need to pay a deposit for any work carried out?
​Yes, we charge a 20% booking deposit for all our work, this is 20% of the agreed quote amount which needs to be paid as soon as a date for works is agreed. Work will not take place unless this has been paid. ​
When is final payment due?
This is due once all agreed works have been completed and/or on the same day the final invoice is sent to you.​

Are you insured?
Yes. We carry full public liability insurance for your peace of mind.​
Can you sand engineered flooring?
Yes, if the engineered board has a suitable real wood wear layer (usually 3mm+). We assess this carefully before sanding to ensure it can be restored safely.​
Do you repair damaged boards?
Absolutely. We can:
Replace damaged boards
Repair parquet blocks
Re-secure loose flooring
Carry out gap filling
Restore reclaimed or antique boards​
All repairs are discussed and quoted clearly beforehand.​
What finishes do you offer?
We offer a range of professional finishes including:
Hard-wearing commercial lacquers (matte, satin, silk)
Natural oils,Stains in various shades
Traditional finishes for period properties.
We can provide samples to help you choose the right look for your home.​
How long before we can walk on the floor?
Light foot traffic: usually 24 hours
Furniture back: typically, 48–72 hours
Rugs: usually after 5–7 days
Drying times vary depending on the finish used and are based from when the last coat is applied.​
Do I need to empty the room?
Yes. Rooms should be fully cleared of furniture before sanding begins. If you require assistance moving heavy items, this can be arranged by prior agreement.​
Can gaps in floorboards be filled?
Yes. We offer gap filling options depending on the size and movement of the boards. Small gaps can be filled during sanding. Larger or moving gaps may require flexible fillers or alternative methods.Gap filling is usually charged additionally depending on the method required.​
Is floor sanding noisy?
Yes, sanding machinery is loud during operation. We recommend planning accordingly, especially if working from home or with young children.
​Will sanding remove deep stains or pet damage?
Surface stains and light damage are usually removed. Deep pet stains, water damage, or black tannin staining may require board replacement.We’ll always advise honestly during quotation.​
What time does your team start/finish work?
We aim to be on site by 8am on the agreed date of work unless agreed otherwise. Finishing time will depend on the agreed works, for example how much work there is to complete and drying times of products.​

​How long is a quote valid for?
Our quotations are valid for 3 months after the date it was produced. If you wish to revisit a quotation past this date an updated quote will need to be produced. ​
